Overview
Our Mission:
The Oregon Historic Cemeteries Association (OHCA) is a non-profit corporation
formed to educate the public about our cemeteries, to build and maintain
appropriate databases, and to protect our cemeteries and their records.
Our Program:
OHCA has five general components:
A. To serve as a statewide association for the education of the
public in the historical and cultural heritage contained in our cemeteries.
B. To provide research facilities for its members and for the public.
C. To assume responsibility as a safe depository/repository for appropriate materials
of agencies and businesses when those materials are no longer needed or used
by those agencies and businesses.
D. To advocate for the preservation, restoration, and protection of all Oregon
cemeteries and their associated signs, markers, and other property, by whatever
legal, legislative or other reasonable means are at the association's disposal.
E. To promote information gathering, dissemination and referral in cooperation
with interested organizations and individuals.
