Oregon Burial Site Guide
The long awaited Oregon Burial Site Guide is a must for every public library, genealogical or historical society, and any serious cemetery researcher. Published by Binford & Mort Publishing in Portland, Oregon, 2001, this massive volume (aka Big Blue), contains entries for every known burial site in Oregon, including many that no longer exist. Information provided includes cemetery aliases, size, approximate number of burials, date of establishment, location information, and a narrative paragraph that may tell of the history of the cemetery, directions, who donated the property, and references to USGS Quad. maps.
The Clackamas County Family History Society has published several cemetery books. All are available in comb-bound 8 1/2" x 11" format and include cemetery listings, histories, some additional genealogical information, and row and lot information.
"I can only put so many cemeteries in a volume. I will get all the cemeteries in the county done and then do an index book for all volumes. I have road maps, pictures, names, plats, service men sections, and an index. The books are numbered, dated, and signed." Lucile Geigle
