Oregon Burial Site Guide

Compiled by Dean H. Byrd and co-compiled by Stanley R. Clarke and Janice M. Healy, the long awaited Oregon Burial Site Guide is a must for every public library, genealogical or historical society, and any serious cemetery researcher.  Published by Binford & Mort Publishing in Portland, Oregon, 2001, this massive volume (aka Big Blue), contains entries for every known burial site in Oregon, including many that no longer exist.  Information provided includes cemetery aliases, size, approximate number of burials, date of establishment, location information, and a narrative paragraph that may tell of the history of the cemetery, directions, who donated the property, and references to USGS Quad. maps.

With a total of 1,216 pages (8.5" x 11"), 278 photographs, 37 maps, an index, and a variety of interesting and informative articles, this book is well worth the price of $125.00 hard bound and $90.00 paper bound.  Both require $8.50 shipping and handling.  Order from Stoney Way Ltd., LLC, PO Box 5414, Aloha, OR 97007-5414.  For more information, contact Janice Healy.
